Does anyone recognize this story? Is it true or even plausible?
"Captain John Bloodsworth changed his name to John Arbo, as his wife was Margaret Arbo (daughter of Joseph and Amy Arbo). . . . Isabella, or Aunt Bell as she was affectionately called, lived to the ripe old age of 100 years. She used to relate the history of the Arbos.
"He applied for a land grant on the Saint John River. He was the son of a ' United Empire Loyalist ' in 1826. His father Nathaniel Bloodworth, Loyalist, who fought with the ' Queen’s Rangers ' under John Graves Simcoe in the " American Revolution ." The Queen’s Rangers were very successful against Washington’s forces, and indeed one of the soldiers of this Regiment actually had the opportunity to shoot Washington in battle. He came to New Brunswick in 1783, after the American Revolution.
