was reading postings today (I'm new to this) I have a Samuel H? Shipler(B2/7/1833) coming from Wheeling WV in 1840 - married Sarah Anne Brown (who was from Bedford Co. PA)in 1856 they came to Jefferson Co. IA about the same time....farmed near Batavia had 12children..(Lewis W, Wilson M., Mary Delilah, Maturen B., Cynthia A.(Maries) Melissa (Fishel) , Margaret (Barber),Minnie Bell(Lindbom), Robert E., Iva Mae(James),Sadie Alice(Lindbom), and Ola Blanche(Long)..) if any of this strike a chord w/ anyone...let me know I have some more info , but am also looking
