Last Will of
W. A. May
Know all men by these presents that I, William A. May of Owen County state of Kentucky considering the uncertainty of life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Rebecca May the whole of the interest accrueing from all my estate to say cash, cash notes chattle property stock Horses
.. she is also to have over and above her third two beds and all her Bed clothing that she is now or may hereafter be in possession of. To my beloved brother Simon P. May and my beloved sisters Parthena Branham, Nancy Brumley and Malinda May I bequeath an equal apportionment of the other two thirds of all my estate as aforesaid and this division is to take place either when my beloved wife should change her life by marriage or at her death. To my beloved brother James May I bequeath in I bequeath no part of my property as he is in circumstances in life to support himself without assistance from other, and this part of my will id don at his own request and lastly I hereby appoint my beloved wife Rebecca Executrix of this my last will and Testament by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of April 1850.

The foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of William A. May dec'd was produced in court and proven by the oath of Josiah Baker Jr. one of the subscribing witnesses thereto & that the same was signed by the Testator and the other subscribing witness in his presence. The same was therefore ordered to be recorded as and for the last will and Testament of the said Wm. A. May dec'd. which is accordingly done.
