Surnames: Kraus, Krause, Crouch, Biars, Biar, Bayers, Baiers
Hello,

I'm looking for Augustus Biars (b. abt. 1850, d. 1916 in Gallipolis, OH) and his wife Kate Kraus (b. abt. 1848, d. 1932 in Ohio). They were the parents of the following children:

Emma Catherine Biars
Christopher W. Biars
John Phillip A. Biars
Augustus Biars
Fred Biars
Henry Biars

Augustus and Kate were immigrants to the US. There are several variations on their names. Augustus might have been called Gus or Gustav. Biars might have been spelled Bayers, Baiers or Biar. Kraus might have been spelled Krause or Crouch.

Specifically, I'd like to know the couple's countries of origin. Family legend has no definitive answer, but Russia, Germany and Holland are all mentioned. I'd also like to know who their parents were, if that's possible.

If none of these questions are answerable, any information you could give me about this couple would be helpful.

Thanks for reading!

Hallie
