The reason I'm writing, is to locate information on a James May, who is a fifth generation grandfather. The only information I have is from "Coldham English Convicts in Colonial America" Vol.1 Middlesex: 1617-1775." And the entry is -- May, James [alias] Mills, Emanuel Sentenced to transportation at Sessions of Gaol Delivery, September-October transported Dec 1771 Justitia.

I live in the United States and I believe I cannot get access to any official or unofficial information from Middlesex County, England. If I am wrong please let me know.

I have been trying for a long time to gather information on James May. I know nothing of his roots in England. If there is some way you can help me locate historical records; I would appreciate it and might be able to trace the lineage even further back.

I am willing to wait for the information if there is a back log of research being done for other who have contacted you.
