Benjamin Kimsey was born c. 1725 England, I do not have any records to prove who he was born to or where. I do believe it was England. If anyone has records please let me know
We have some old letters that say that he was married to Margaret Gragg and that is what Colette and Edgar thought( they did Kimsey/Kimzey genealogy for over 50 Years, now both dead). The Margaret Gragg, daughter of John Gragg and Nancy Ann Woods, appears to have married someone else, so at this time Wife of Benjamin I Kimzey is unknown.

We do know that Benjamin Kimsey had an older brother William. They were living in Hampshire Co Va (now West Virginia). And they were right accross the river from Maryland which confirms the Lord Baltimore country. William dies in 1778 and he leaves his property" to my brother Benjamin's son Benjamin". Since everything used to go to the elsest son, I am surmising that Benjamin jr, son of Benjamin I is the eldest child of Benjamin I. (Later on we find this land going to Benjamin Jr's oldest son William who sells it)

All of the land in Augusta Co Va early on went all the way to the Mississippi river. So a large piece of land called Augusta Co, Va. Henry county was formed out of August in
1776 and after that we find the Kimsey/Kimzey's in Henry and then when that county splits in 1790 we find them in Patrick Co, Va. Some of the family go to North Carolina early, but Francis Posey, Benjamin I and Benjamin II go to North Carolina about 1797.
