Doris Virginia Sullivan, 80, of Rockdale since 1953, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at the Renaissance Villa in Rockdale. Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 in the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell with Rev. Doug Springer officiating.

She was born Nov. 14, 1926 in Ft. Worth to Hillard and Thelma Ruby (Crews) Sargent.

She married Richard Marvin Sullivan on Aug. 16, 1940 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Sullivan owned and operated La Tienda Beauty Shop in the Praesel Addition in Rockdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 29, 1999; two infant daughters, Patricia Ann and Doris Virginia Sullivan; grandson, Richard Arnold Sullivan, Jr.; parents; sister, Betty Bell.

Survivors include her son Richard Arnold Sullivan of Austin; daughter, Jeannine Closs and husband Lamar of Rockdale; seven grandchildren, Lauri Ross and husband Jeff of Brenham, Billy Sager of Pflugerville, Christy Watts and husband Norman of Austin, Bobby Sager and wife Emily of McKinney, Jennifer Sullivan of Austin, Ginger Richter and husband Terry of Rockdale and Mara Sullivan of Missouri City; 10 great-grandchildren, Michael Ross of Brenham, Daniel Ross and fiancé Erica Bush of Bryan, Brittany Sullivan of Austin, Christina Sager of Brenham, Katie Brooke Richter and Tyler Richter of Rockdale, Tabitha Watts and Adam Watts of Austin, Maci Sager and Kylie Sager of McKinnney.
