Currently researching Susan GWARTNEY, who married Thomas WRIGHT. She may be a daughter of Micajah GWARTNEY and his spouse Elizabeth.
Could use any assistance in confirmation of above information.
Thank you.

Maureen,
What is Susan's birth date and place? There is a Susan, daughter of Micajah and Elizabeth Eckhart Gwartney, b. 1859 in IN. I have her husband as Charles Fulkerson and they were living with Micajah and Elizabeth in the 1880 Harrison Co., IN census. This Micajah was the son of Thomas and grandson of Micajah of VA. Do you know the date of Susan's marriage to Thomas Wright?

Reply to Pauline Drobny - Susan Gwartney
Pauline - Thank you for your response.
Here is what I know about my Susan. Born 1 Jan 1805 in Hardin, KY, the daughter of Micajah GWARTNEY/Elizabeth unknown, married 12 Apr 1827 to Thomas WRIGHT, in Webster Twp, Harrison, IN and she died 11 Mar 1885 in Butler, KY. They had three children (of which I know). Thomas WRIGHT died about 1839-1840(maybe a bit later but not sure) because husband is not listed at marriage of daughter in 1842. Susan remarried 26 Feb 1847 to William May BRUCE.
My Thomas WRIGHT B abt 1805, is supposedly the son of Robert WRIGHT/Ginnet(Jane)CATHCART.
If you can shed any light on these folks it would be most appreciated.
Thank you. Maureen Martello

Hi Maureen,
Your Susan MAY have been a daughter of John, eldest son of Micajah of VA, but I have no solid evidence of that. I don't believe she was a daughter of Micajah of VA. My information lists his daughters as Polly, b. 1794, m. John Roals, Sarah, b. 1797, m. Abraham Rice, and Rebecca, b. 1801, m. Richard French. Rebecca is named in Micajah's probate as one of the administrators in 1818. The 1810 census of Hardin Co., KY for Micajah lists 1 female 45. This accounts for Rebecca ( Micajah's son, John, in the 1810 Hardin Co., KY census has 2 females I haven't heard of a "three brothers" story connected to this family but that's another possiblility.
Familysearch.com's IGI files have Susan Gwartney m. Thomas Wright submitted by several people. The submissions are somewhat old but you might try to contact one of them and ask about their sources for that data.
Good Luck, Pauline

My previous leads came from the Gwartneys of IN, by Rebecca Sidwell and the girls were only possible not proved.
Thank you! Will let you know what I discover.
