My Great grandmother (Sarah Ann WYLLIE nee LYNCH) spent her formative years in India. There is just as much 'evidence' to confirm/deny it. I have been told you could tell that she had learned to cook in India because of how she cooked fish. I don't know if this refers to the method of cooking or to the spices she used. Where would she have bought such foreign spices in Glasgow during the 1920s-1940s?
