I am looking for the parents of Daniel William Carlson who was born on April 17, 1899 in Virginia, St. Louis, MN. He fought in WWI in the Navy and went down with the ship and died June 6, 1942 in Hawaii. The ship was named after him, the U.S.S. Carlson.

He was married to Irene Bernadette Price Cassidy and they had a son, Donald Michael Carlson who was born Sept. 19, 1925 and died June 13, 1993 in Jamaica, Queens, NY.

I thought that since you can Google Daniel William Carlson and read about his story, that it would be easier to find his parents names--but I've been searching for years and can't seem to find a lead. I was told by my cousin that they immigrated from Sweden. I have no other information...
