Several of us have an interest in the Inglis families that appear in and around Paterson New Jersey, starting by at least the 1850 census. David Inglis, b. about 1785 Scotland, d. Paterson about 1867, wife Ann, son William. David was in some aspect of cloth manufacturing in Paterson. Other Inglis in the area include James, b. NJ about 1835, m. Ella M. Field, children Andrew, Roy, Mortimer, and maybe Walter. James's father was also James. Any one with connections to these Inglis families, which may not be related to one another, or to others in New Jersey in 1800/s?
