I need help! I have information of my family ancestors in the US but have no idea where to start in Ireland. I am stuck at Roger Flaherty. Roger is the father of Bartholomew (1784 - 1816). I know Roger was born in Ireland probably about 1750 or so and married a "Mary" LNU about 1780 in Ireland (where?).

Bartholomew came to the US via Anne Arundel Co., Maryland before 1800 (1800 census in Anne Arundel, MD Federal Census 89 601 37 Flarly, Bartholomew.)

Bartholomew then came to Nelson Co., Kentucky about 1808-09. I have property deed records for Bartholomew dated 1809 for Nelson Co., KY.

Roger and Mary came to KY about 1814. Roger died in KY on 11/09/1820. He is on the 1820 KY Census.

I don't know if Roger was a Flaherty or O'Flaherty or if it matters. All the records I have found say Flaherty or Flarty.

Anyone have an ideas or information to help me out?
