The 1870 census shows Thomas and Barbara in Posey Twp, Clay Co. IN with children Hettie E., Stonewal J. and Mary J. The 1880 census shows Thomas and Barbara living in St. George Twp, Pottawatomie County, KS. Thomas' occupation was "in transit." Their listed children were Hettie, Jackson S., Josie, Eda, Albert and Lillian, born in Kansas about 1878. There may also have been a son William not listed on this census.
Their eldest daughter, Hettie Ellen, born 7 Jan 1865 in Clay Co. IN, married Henry Casper Kaase January 8, 1888 in Sebastian Co. AR.
Thomas, Barbara Ellen, "Jacky", and Albert were buried next to each other in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Midland, Sebastian County Arkansas. Their graves are marked with relatively new stones, incised with only their names. No dates of burial yet located.
