I have posted before about a Harris Perelmuter, Auctioneer, who settled in NY City about 1885. I have now found his naturalization papers and learned that he came from Kamenets. I believe this is Kamenets-Litovsk now in Belarus, as it is right next to Vysokoye where my mother's family lived and he is probably the uncle my mother mentioned as "Mr. Perlmuter, an auctioneer on Lispenard St."
Does anyone have Perlmuter/ Perelmuter relatives from Kamenets?
