I am trying to hunt down information on my grandmother's family. My grandmother's maiden name was Leota Elue Brown. Unfortunately, she and my father have since passed away and I don't have a great many details.

My great grandfather was Charles James Brown, the son of Lyman Brown. He was married to Flora Ann Deeter. Charles and Flora's childrens' names, as I remember them, are:
Leota Elue Brown (b. 2 Apr 1902)
Dorthea Ora Brown
Genevive Geraldine Brown,
Charles Brown,
Leroy Brown,
Kenneth Brown.
I am pretty sure that Leota was the oldest child, at least the oldest girl. I know that the family lived in Venango County when my grandmother was young. She mentioned the towns of Franklin and Oil City. I believe that her father was the caretaker of a park and that the family lived on the park's grounds. They moved to Oklahoma during her teenage years.
My grandmother's grandfather Brown (Lyman ?) was a Civil War veteran, who was known as "Yank Brown." He had an injury during the war which resulted in a silver plate on his skull.
