I am compiling information on my Newbrough
ancestors in Texas. I have read posts about
Newbroughs in WV, OH and other places, but
I was hoping someone may have some
suggestions (perhaps the name of a privately
published book) about researching Texas
Newbroughs. My great-grandmother Mary Allie
(Newbrough) Napier was the daughter of
William E. and Laura (Green) Newbrough.
William E. was the son of Joseph and Almira
(Coffey) Newbrough, who lived in Iowa before
moving to Texas in the mid-19th century. I
would be grateful for any suggestions. I
have already done as much as possible with
census records, etc. I have compiled census
info on Newbroughs in other states (OH, IN,
IA, MO, etc.), but it is difficult to link
the earlier records with my branch of the
family.
