I don't have any connection to this family but found this while doing other research. I believe it helps to see our ancestors as people rather than just names and dates and, in some cases, it helps to place where our ancestors were during a certain period of time.
This entry is from the Rockland, (Maine) Courier of March 13, 1894 in the "Local Laconics":
"Capt. Charles Hall and son William D. Hall have each purchased a lot of land on the north side of Middle street beyond the Thomas Hix residence. Capt. Hall purposes erecting a new house on his lot immediaely after the frost is out of the ground. He has an excellent location."
