I'm trying to find out more about my family from Island of Rugen. The surname is Krehmke. According to their Hamburg Passenger List, they were from Dreschvitz, Island of Rügen , near Bergen, Pomerania, Prussia in 1872.

here is what I have:

Fred "Fritz" Krehmke b. 1844 Pomerania, Germany and d. 1916 Illinois, USA. he m. abt 1871 Germany to Caroline "Lena" Lack/Zeck/Zech (I've seen all 3 spellings on US records. Her mother's name was Christina Lawrence..i'm wondering if she remarried in Germany or the US, but she was livign in the US in 1880) b. 1856 Pomerania, Germany and d. 4 Jan 1917 Plato, Kane Co., Illinois, USA. they had 6 children, but all were born in the States.

Any help on how I can find out more info would be wonderful!
