Hello fellow "MATCHETT" researchers! I am in search of a MATCHETT who was (is) a General in the United States. I am not sure of what part of the service or even when. I was told that he lived in California.

This General MATCHETT is supposed to be related to my line of WILLIAM MATCHETT of 1800-1875 who came to the Miramichi area of New Brunswick, Canada at the age of 15 and was from N. Ireland.
