I'm looking for more information about an ancestor on my father's Scottish-Canadian side of the family. I have information on Peter Barr, b. 1 Feb 1799, Govan, Lanarkshire; d. Apr 1863, Howick Township, Huron County, Michigan, USA. I have the following information for him:

Peter emigrated to Ontario, Canada after 1822 and before 1832. His wife died at sea en route to Canada.

* Marriage 20 Apr 1832 to Jennett (Janet?) Turnbull, Canada

I am seeking the parents of Peter Barr, b. 1799 or any other data on him. Plus, I am looking for information on his first wife, Hume Scott and/or her parents.

I am descended through John Barr, b. 1824, Govan, Lanarkshire; d. 7 May 1895, Fullarton, Perth County, Ontario, Canada
