I recently joined this list, because one pair of my grandparents immigrated to Toronto 1903-1906.
Family lore says that my grandfather owned "acreage in downtown Toronto" before he left around 1919. The house he's living in during the 1911 Census (I have the address) may have been owned.
Also, my grandmother's father had a grocery store in the Kensington district. I have this address also.
How can I research the family story, the ownership of the 1911 house, and the ownership of the grocery store via long distance (I live in Georgia USA)?
Thanks.
