there are some postings that "might be related" but I am not sure-my great-grandfather Joseph Monks left England with his wife, Elizabeth Spencer, and 3 children Frederick, Joseph, and Roseanne , and lilian born here efore 1880 I think--from the Lacashire area--Elizabeth left her house and posessions to her bridesmaids- he settled in Pittsburgh- but there is a post-card from Michigan saying that someone found ____girl here....Joseph remarried here-a woman named Betsy and moved to McKeesport area of Pittsburgh...Joseph Monks the younger never married, had a crippled hand...Frederick had two daughters. Roseanne is my grandmother and was 7 yrs old when they landed--had to hid Joseph's crippled hand to get him into country... Roseanne married Joseph Parker here in Pittsburgh
