i went to get records for the burial of a small child at saint boniface today and got a nice surprise. the man working at the office at calvary cemetery (where the boniface records are kept) asked me, "is she related to the Schluters?" why yes! in fact, the Schlueters/Schluters were a line that i had almost no luck in tracing, and now i think i may have some solid info on them.
headstones at the plot at St. Boniface include the following people:
Casper Schluter Aug 24 1833 - April 18 1905
Eva Schluter Dec 11 1841 - Jan 7 1916
William Schluter July 14 1864 - March 12 1899
George A. Schluter 1873 - 1953 (4/20/53)
Anna Schluter 1884 - 1948 (2/2/48)
previously, the only Schlueter i knew of was my g-g-grandmother, Anna Schlueter-Raap (October 22, 1871 - November 13, 1941). i can easily assume that Casper and Eva were her parents, and William and George her brothers (the other Anna being George's wife). if anyone could help me by looking up death notices for these people, that could confirm it for me. :)
