I would be interesed in working with decendents of the Poage/Haysler/Humbrock line that settled in Clinton, Henry County MO. Am connected through Charles Humbrock/Loesch union of 1841.

My Poage linage from Missouri is Willa Belle Poage of Miami
Missouri. Her father was Thomas Ford Poage. Havent yet seen anyone with name of Haysler or Humbrock. Thomas father was Cyrus and his was Moses. If any of these are in your linage, I have photos back to Moses and tree farther back.

Thanks--I think there are lots of unconnected branches. Mine Show up in 1895 and I have the next generation. The only way I know to make a connection is keep shooting in the dark. Thanks again.

Surnames: Poage, Gragg
I am researching Rev. William Malcolm Poage who was born 9 Dec 1805 Johnstown, Bates, Missouri and died 22 Apr 1942 in Hillsborough County, Florida. He was the son of William Burton Poage (b 1814 KY) and his wife Mary Ann Gragg. He married Ella (maiden name unknown). If this fits into your research, I will share what information I have.

I have information in my files (distant cousin Poage) that is close to yours, but your people may just be cousins to those in my files.

I have a Henry Poage (1868 - 1939) who married Hattie Poage (1870 - 1950). She was the daughter of Charles Herman Haysler (1842 - 1911) who married Elizabeth Marie Humbrock (1842 - 1917). Charles was born in Germany and Elizabeth was born in MO. Elizabeth's parents were born in Germany.

These people were in Henry county, MO.

Henry's parents were George Samuel Poage (1827 - 1882) who married Eliza Christena Kellar (1833 - 1913). You might want to check the book History of Henry County Missouri, Historical Publishing Co, by Uel W. Lamkin, 1919, which might have information that might help you. There is more information on the Poage family there.

Hope this helps.

Sorry,
cant connect Humbrock, haysler with poage via ancestry.com in any state.
Have the descendants of robert and john poage vol 1 part1 and 2. need info to even think of starting to look in them. each vol is over 500 pages. Then yours may be under robert. I only have the john portion.

Ancestry.com does not list them.

Thanks for your information and response. This Charles Haysler and Hattie are indeed in the line of Loesch descendants that I have built into a tree. I would be most interested in knowing about any descendants of this union. I will do my best to glean info from the reference you suggested, but if you have any direct records available I would be interested. Poages were prominent in the early generations so I know that there is history about them. Its there descendants I am interested in. Thanks HS
