This is probably a case of preaching to the choir, but I've just come across an egregious example of what seems to be intentional cluttering up of the WorldConnect Project database. One person uploaded the same file (29747 individuals) 13 times under 13 different names over a three-hour period Dec. 29-30, 2010. I suppose I should be grateful it wasn't a larger file. There are plenty of other examples of duplicate (triplicate, etc.) files in the database, but in the past I've assumed they were the inadvertent result of someone not realizing they could overwrite the older version without having to rename the file each time. This, though, was clearly intentional. There probably isn't anything that can be done but appeal to the common sense of WorldConnect users -- this sort of nonsense reduces the effectiveness and usability of the database for everyone.
