I am looking for the marriage and parents of Alexandre Laperle and Julienne Malette (my ggg grandparents). I have the children of this marriage: Joseph born ?, Christina born 1858, Nelson born 1860, John born 1862, Victoire born 1864 (gg grandmother), Felix born 1867. I have the children of the second wife (Delphine Jodoin) of Alexandre: 8 children born from 1873 to 1890. Alexandre was born 27 March 1829 in Quebec. Where? Any info on this Laperle family would be greatly appreciated.

I think the attached is the baptism of your Alexandre on Jan 7, 1830 at St. Polycarpe, Soulanges Co., PQ. If so the parents would be Dominique Laperle and Catherine Lapage of St. Polycarpe. Do you have the 1881 census transcription for Alexandre and his family?

Thanks James. It might be Alexandre's baptism, the date of birth I have from the 1901 census is different but there are alot of inconsistencies. What is your connection to this family? I noticed in one of your earlier postings under the Laperle surname board, you mentioned that you had a documented marriage of Alexandre Laperle and Julienne Malette. Do you have the date and location? The parents would be listed on that and could verify if the parents on the baptism are the same. I found Alexandre and his second wife Delphine on the LDS 1881 census under Alexr Laperl. The 1891 census under Alexandre Laparle and the 1901 census under his son Henry. He does not appear on the 1911 census.

The only documented records that I have for Alexandre and Julienne are baptisms of their children at St. Raphaels in the 1850's and 1860's. I do not have the marriage record. Dominique Laperle died at the age of 76 years on Aug 2nd 1860 on Lot 4, 8th Charlottenburgh, Glengarry County. A number of Alexandre's and Julienne's children were noted as being born on Lot 1 of ether the 8th or 9th of Charlottenburgh, Glengarry County. I'm related to these Charlottenburgh Laperle's by marriage. Joseph Laperle the son of Joseph Laperle and Josephe Leger married an Aurelia McDonald at St. Margaret (Glen Nevis) in 1882. I believe Joseph Sr. to be a son of Dominique and a possible brother to your Alexandre. If you end up connecting yourself to Dominique I have charted his ancestry back a few more generations. Dominique's Laperle's were known as Pineault dit Laperle's. I believe these Pineault dit Laperle's were from Montreal before St. Polycarpe.

I am also looking for info on Alexander and Julienne Malette. This is my husband's family. His gggrandfather was John who married Lena Lapensee. If you have any new info on their parents or marriage date I would grealy appreciate it.

Well, it looks like your husband and I are related twice. His gggrandfather John is a brother to my gggrandmother Victoria. Victoria's husband is Joseph Lapensee, brother to Lena. So, 2 Laperle siblings married 2 Lapensee siblings.

I have gone through just about every Quebec and Ontario marriage register looking for Alexander and Julienne. Keep in mind when searching, it may be Banlier dit Laperle. On one of the censuses (can't remember which one) is says that one of their children -the oldest Christine- was born in the US. Then I found the 1871 census where Alex was recently widowed and a daughter Elizabeth (?) was listed as the oldest daughter.
Anyway it leads me to believe that they were married in the US-where? The Laperle side of my family tree stops at Alexander, so if you also find out something, please let me know.

I know this is an old thread, but I was curious if any new information has been found. My gggrandfather is their son, Felix Euclide Laperle.
