I know there is probably nothing you can do about it, but I'm tired of it.
Everyday, some people "update" their gedcoms of over 700,000 individuals. They download other peoples gedcoms, with or without sources.
In addition to being genealogically worthless, they are clogging up searchs.
Since I cannot conceive of a researched family tree containing such a HUGE abount of individuals (correct me if I'm wrong), would a limit of, say, 100,000 put a stop to this?
The only other way I can think of is to stop the ability to download a gedcom.
One of the prime offenders is "updating" his gedcom as I write. He has updated over 750,000 individuals every day for the past 2 weeks!
Yes, I know about "skip database". The list get longer daily.
Thanks for letting me vent. I had to get it off my chest.
