I am looking for any further information, or family connections, with Thomas Tierson Phillips, son of my GG grandfather's 2nd son William Phillips. I understand that Thomas may have ended up in Cornwall. He was I think a pstman in Portscatho and may be a church warden. I also think he married twice.
William, Thomas's father, was born 1864 possibly in Pembrokeshire and his parents were William Phillips 1844-1915 and Ruth Richards 1841-1879. William's brothers and sisters were Thomas, Mary Jane, Anne and Phoebe. William's father went on to marry Emma Lloyd after the death of Ruth.
I know that William married Elizabeth Lloyd 03.03.1888 at the Parish Church, Swansea. They had several children: Thomas Tierson Phillips b.1888 PEM, Arthur b.1890 GLA, Anne b. 1894 GLA and Lloyd b. 1989 GLA. The 1911 census shows there had been a further child who had died. In 1911 the family are running the Royal Standard Pub in Hafod, Swansea. Thomas is not at home at this point and may well have been in the merchant navy.
I am looking for further information about Thomas Tierson Phillips as his middle name is quite unusual and still a mystery! I also know that Elizabeth, his mother, appears to have had an illegitemate child before her marriage. His name was Herbet Lloyd b.1884 PEM. I have found him in 1911 working as Head of boots at the Central Hotel in Swansea.
Thanks for reading.
Emma
