I'm working on Oliver Babcock b. 16 Sep 1722, Westerly, Rhode Island, d. 24 Feb 1806 Leyden, then Hampshire County, Mass., son of Oliver & Susannah (Clarke) Babcock. I found an Obituary for him that mentions 14 Children (I seem to be missing one) and that he had recorded the state of the weather in his Journal,which he had regularly kept for more than 30 yrs. Has anyone heard of this Journal, does it still exist? A Journal kept for 30 yrs would include the time of the Revolution and I'd sure like to see it.

Incidentally his son, Oliver died in Sep of that same.year, also in Leyden.
