I'm searching for a way to verify a passenger who left from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Yokohama, Japan, in 1920. His name was Hikotaro Sakamoto and he was a Japanese citizen. He was on the SS Persia Maru, a ship on the Toyo Kisen Kabushiki Kaisha line. That company was bought by Nippon Yusen Kaisha in 1926, so I assume that is where the passenger records would be. The ship was bound for Yokohama, but I believe they made a stop in Nagasaki, which is where I think Hirotaro would have disembarked. Unfortunately, I do not read or speak Japanese, so I have no idea how to access those records, assuming they still exist. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
