Looking for family of Eleanor G. WILLIAMS who married James M. ALLEN, M.D., in Macon Co., AL. WILLIAMS may have been her married name as on the 1870 census, there is a child age 5or 6 (pretty illegible) , M.W., living with this family. Have searched high and low for an E.G. WILLIAMS, E. Gladys WILLIAMS (her son named a dau. Gladys), Eleanor and all variant spelling forms that I can think of, etc. but can find nothing about her. She was born in AL with parents b. in North Carolina. She was 33 in 1880 on Lee County, AL, census, as a widow/farmer with 3 children - Charles, Edith, and Zulia (my g-grandmother). Any help with this WILLIAMS family would be more than greatly appreciated.
