LANESBORO -- Glenn Patrick Connors, 64, of 69 Prospect St., formerly of
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Pittsfield, died yesterday morning at home after
a long illness..

Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 29, 1934, son of the late Bryan T. and Doris E.
Houghtling Connors, he attended local schools.

Mr. Connors was employed by Kelly Lumber Co. as a grader before enlisting
in the Army National Guard. He received his general education diploma in 1954 while serving in
the Air Force, where he attained the rank of private first class. During his military service, he
attended the John W. McClure School, which is associated with the National Hardwood Lumber
Association in Memphis, Tenn. He was the recording secretary for the 21st class of 1958.

After his discharge, in 1959, he returned to Kelly Lumber. After moving to Fort Lauderdale, he
was employed by Gulf Atlantic Lumber Sales Inc., retiring in 1996 because of illness. He
returned to Lanesboro in June.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Colleen R. Pirzl, with whom he lived, and Ms. Glenna P. Pierce
of Pittsfield; three sisters, Mrs. Beverly Appleton of Lanesboro, Mrs. Daryl Pulaski of Searsburg,
Vt., and Mrs. Bryanne Courtemanche of Albany, N.Y., and five grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Glenn Patrick Connors, 64, died July 30 at home. He is also survived by
his son-in-law, Herbert J. Pirzl, and five grandchildren: Herbert J. Pirzl IV, Nakiesha M. Pirzl and
Shanna E. Pirzl, all of Lanesboro, and Crystal Lee Balsamo and Justin A. Pierce, both of
Pittsfield. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd F. Connors in 1995, and Thomas B.
Connors in 1981. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 in Pittsfield Cemetery, with the
Rev. Mr. Eugene Momnie, deacon at St. Joseph's Church, officiating. There are no calling
hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in
the Berkshires, in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of
arrangements.
