Can anyone recommend a French or French-Canadian genealogy-related book I can give my brother-in-law for Christmas (that's written in English)? He's done a lot of genealogical research into his family but my sister says he doesn't have that many books. It may help to know that he's a descendant of Marin Boucher who was born in 1587 in Mortagne, Perche, France; died March 25, 1671 in Chateau-Richer, PQ.


Last year I gave him “French Migration to North America / Emigration Francaise en Amerique du Nord” by Jean-Louis Houde and he seemed to enjoy that.
