Hi,
It's been some time since I have last posted. There are a few people that I would love to make contact with, Wilfried Spinner, Kerry Benz. -I have a strong feeling we may share an ancestor or two in common. Here is a quick rundown of my German born ancestry from Baden.
(note:I also have roots that go back to Alsace-Lorraine, France (REINBOLT), and Heigenbruecken, Aschaffenburg, Bavaria (STAAB, BECK)

Date of marriage: 24 May 1852, Tiergarten, Ulm, Baden, Germany

Karolina Heptig, b. 19 Jan 1852, Tiergarten, Baden. Death: 26 Oct 1852, Tiergarten

Sophia Heptig, b. 18 Jun 1866, Tiergarten, Baden. D. 31 Jul 1884, Baden.

Franz Anton, b. 24 Sep 1868, Tiergerten, Baden. D.30 Apr 1943, Brooklyn, NY (aka. Frank, my great grandfather, immigrated to NY in 1883. Married to Fredericka Dorothy Staab of Heigenbruecken, Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, circa 1892.)

Notes:
My gg grandfather Anton Heptig, had one known brother -Moritz Heptig, b. 29 Aug 1814, Tiergarten, Baden. We believe there may have been additional sibilings in the family. Moritz was married twice. His first was to Katharina Beck on 11 Jan 1836 (she died in 1 Jan 1839, they had one daughter Katharina whom died a few years later. On 15 April 1839, Moritz married Maria Anna Basler (daughter of Jacob Basler and Regina Werner).
In regards to my gg grandmother Maria Anna Wiegert -Heptig, after her husband' Anton Heptig's death in 1869, she re-marrried to Leo Hund. They had two children (Rosalia and Leo?, whom died in early childhood.

My Maria Anna Wiegert was born on 9 Sep 1830, Waldulm, she was the daughter of Michael Wiegert and Maria Anna Gieringer.

Maria Anna Gieringer was the daughter of Sebastian Gieringer and Maria Anna Vogt of Waldulm, I believe she was born around 1800, she married Michael Wiegert on 23 Nov 1821, in Ringelbach.. I figure that her parents were born somewhere around the 1780's. Michael was the son of Franz Anton (Franciscus Antonius WIGGERT (WIEGERT)b. 28 Jan 1763, of Waldulm, and Maria Anna HILSIN, (later Hildebrand) b. 27 Jan 1768, of Ringelbach. On the death record for Michael WIEGERT, (volunteered by Barbara Leeds) it lists his wife Maria Anna GIERINGER as being deceased prior to Michael's death in 1839, Ringelbach. He was re-married after Maria Anna GIERINGER's death to Barbara PFIEFFER.
Present at his memorial service were Jacob Peter, and Bernhard HODAPP.

Other surnames I have a connection with are Spath (Katharina), Hofmannin (Catharina), Busam (Theresia)-married to the brother (Franz Josef Wiegert) of Michael Wiegert, Doll (Katharina) - via Andreas Wiegert's line.

-It get pretty complicated.

Within the past few years Willi Haas, Jane Geringer McDaniel, Hermann Wiegert, Barbara Leeds, and Mary Louise Harvey-Donohue, and I have discovered that we are distant cousins connected in many ways, they have all been of major assistance.

Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar. I have been unable to find anything further on them, especially in regards to Josef Heptig (b. abt. 1780's, Ulm), Magdalena Busam (b. abt. 1780's, Oppenau was lsted on their sons' Anton & Moritz Heptig's Christening records in association with her name), Maria Anna Vogt and Sebastian Gieringer. I have a database on the LDS website, which I have not been able to update since I've had it added.

I would love to hear from anyone interested finding a connection.

Best Regards
