I am posting this query for a cyber-friend, who probably should have asked here, rather than on the Hatton board. Anyway, to quote:

Belle M. Hatton - born approximately 1864 in Missouri
Frank F. Hatton - born approximately 1867 in Missouri
Agustus G. Hatton - born approximately 1870 in Missouri
(per 1880 census)

Belle M. Hatton married Erbin Peter Higgins in Pettis County, Missouri on Nov. 3, 1880; and they had four children . . . Hugh Hatton Higgins, Myrtle Clelia Higgins, Nina Malinda Higgins Halstead, and one stillborn child . . . all born in or near Sedalia, Missouri.

Any information would be appreciated. Does anybody remember a F. F. Hatton as mayor of Sedalia?
