PLEASANTON - Funeral services for James “Jim” M. Starr, 76, of Pleasanton were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Community Bible Chapel in Pleasanton. Interment followed at Starr/Miguel Cemetery near Pearsall.

Mr. Starr died Friday, Aug. 31, at his home in Pleasanton.

Mr. Starr was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Eula Starr; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Starr.

Survivors are his wife, Minnie (Gunter) Starr; two daughters, Pam Ross and husband Charlie of Georgetown, Paula Rice and husband Rex of Gladewater; a son, Rick Starr and wife Debbie of Baytown; his sisters and brother, Della Jo Shaw and husband John of Port Lavaca, Catherine Snowden of Cedar Park, Betty Absheer of Cibolo, Jerry Starr and wife Virginia of Alice; grandchildren Heather Williams and husband Stoney, Amy Luna and husband Larry, Jeremy Ross and wife Amber, Ryan Starr, Justin Starr, Aaron Rice, Joey Starr, Ashley Belew and husband Danny, Melainie Cauthen, Alan Cauthen, Jonathan; great-grandchildren Justice Craven, Jacob Craven, Ross Williams, Cailin Ross, Shaylee Ross, Madison Williams, Zachary Starr; also, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Ross, Ryan Starr, Justin Starr, Aaron Rice, Joey Starr and Stoney Williams.
