Classification: Obituary
On September 27, 2012 at 11:32 PM, Larry D. Davis, Sr., 57, left this life.

He courageously served our country as a Navy seaman.
He worked various jobs with Morris Bean, White Motors, and Neher Burial Vault among others.
If he wasn't enjoying his wife's cooking, he was enjoying his favorite football team, movie, music and joke. He taught us and he made us laugh.
He left everyone with a story to tell.
To know Larry is to know he loved life and especially his wife of 23 years Maria (Freeman) Davis.
His life will be celebrated by many, including, his daughters Shaunda (Davis) (Alfonso) Agee, Rhonda (Davis) Scott, Latoya Davis, Larryah Davis, Mayah Davis, sons Larry Davis, Jr., Christopher Freeman, his amazing sister Connie (Davis) (Bobbie) Mixon, proud brother Charles (Lynn) Davis, spirited brother-in-law Kenneth (Mary) Gossett, his six beautiful grandchildren, and a host of special nieces and nephews like Rhonda (Davis) (Dwayne) Hendrickson, Cynthia and Jeffery Davis, Rita (Mixon) Thomas, Bobbie Mixon, Jr., and Patrick Mixon.

Preceded in death by his parents Peace and Julia (Tolliver) Davis, daughter Myranda Davis, sisters Elizabeth (Davis) (John) Smith, Mary (Davis) (Kenneth) Gossett, and brothers-in-law John (Elizabeth) Smith and Bobbie (Connie) Mixon, Sr.

We all know Larry never met a stranger. Every person he touched will miss him dearly. Let us rejoice that he did it his way.
Going home services will be held Friday, October 5th, 2012 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Porter-Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home at 823 S. Yellow Springs Street, Springfield, Ohio 45506. Larry's relatives will be visiting with family and friends at 510 Hazelbrook Avenue thereafter.
