Seek info John ATKINSON who mrd. Isabella Jones/Janes 1804 in Monongalia Co. (W)VA record, probably lived in the part that became Marion County. They had other children whose names I don't know; their dau. Jane (ca. 1808-1860) married John AMOS Jr. 1827.

This John Atkinson appears associated with one Richard Thomas Atkinson (ca. 1745-1828), who might have been his father. Richard Thomas Atkinson told the Pension Office that he had enlisted in the Rev. War under name Richard Thomas without the 'Atkinson'. Richard Thomas Atkinson had a daughter Margaret b. ca. 1790, mother's name unknown; Margaret married at least twice, 1822 to Ezekiel Haddix and as widow in 1823 to one John Jones, both in Mononggalia Co. records.

Jones / Janes and Reece / Reese families also associated with this Atkinson group.
