I believe that Simeon Stringer/Mary (Scarborough?) may have been the parents of CLAYTON STRINGER b. 1861 and died 1930 in Smith Co.

Simeon supposedly died 1866 and his widow Mary is listed as head of household in 1870 census in Jasper Co. I her household is CLATEIN Stringer, aged 12 - I believe that just might be Clayton Stringer born May 1861 and the age on census incorrect. Clayton/Clatein wasn't in Mary's household 1860 census, nor can I find any 2 year old who might be him in any Stringer household that I have searched (Ancestry.com index primarily)

Based on family tree posted online, and census records, Simeon & Mary were the parents of:

Amanda supposedly married Albert Windham - in 1880 census, an 18 year old Clayton Stringer is living in Amanda's household as "servant" -- was this her younger brother, Clayton?
