On the 1880 Baldwin Co, AL census, the widowed Elizabeth A Stapleton 65 is living in household 65/65 as follows:

Beat 2 District 7 Court House enumerated 15 Jun 1880 pg 6B
Stapleton William F W M 40 single Farmer & Stockraiser AL GA GA [1840]
Elizabeth W F 65 mother widow w/o occupation GA GA SC [1815]
Joyce W F 30 sister single w/o occupation AL AL AL [1850]
Annie W F 20 sister single w/o occupation AL AL AL [1860]
Grace W F 17 sister single w/o occupation AL AL AL [1863]
Ellen W F 5 niece single AL AL AL [1875]

This is the first time Ellen is enumerated. Caused me some consternation as I didn't know which of Solomon & Elizabeth A's sons was Ellen's father. I still don't and now I see that Ellen is prominently mentioned in her grandmother's will and I'm determined to uncover who her parents were. Elizabeth had other grandchildren and, for some reason, felt compelled to take special care of Ellen. I'm making the assumption that both Ellen's parents were deceased by the 1880 census.
