Herbert Daniel Rama

A memorial service will be held in Samuel P. Taylor Park at a time and date to be announced later for Herbert Daniel Rama, a long time Novato resident.

Mr. Rama, who was known as "Dan," died Tuesday in a motorcycle accident at Taylor Park. He was 31.

He was born in Germany and lived in France for a short time as a child. He moved to Novato in about 1958 and lived there ever since.

He attended Olive School and played Little League baseball in Novato. After he graduated from San Marin High School, Mr. Rama went to a trade school in San Rafael to learn to be a mechanic.

Survivors are his daughter, Cheyenne, his wife, Lauren Rama; his father, Herbert A. Rama, all of Novato; two sisters, Maxine Miller of Novato and Billie Pulhamus of San Jose; and a brother J. W. Clark of Oregon.

Dan was the adopted son of Herbert Archibald Rama and Matilda Jane Rama, who resided in Verdun, France, at the time.
Dan was born in Coppingen, West Germany as Manfred Zamoryn, to Louise Raamp Zamoryn and Heinz Zamoryn on May 23, 1953
He emmigrated to the USA at the age of 3.
