Cemeteries in/near Londonderry

I have a death certificate for my great-granduncle, a gold miner, who died in 1920. It is written that he died in East Mines, Colchester. In the section about burial, it is very difficult to read. The first word is Londonderry. The next, which I'm hoping is the cemetery, starts with an "M", then possibly an "a" or "e". Does anyone know of a cemetery in that area that might fit that?

I am currently looking to see what cemeteries are in Londonderry, NS as well. I will be actually going there at the end of this month on holidays and once I find out what cemeteries are there I will let you know.

Do you know if he was Roman Catholic because if he was he would be most likely buried in a Catholic cemetery

Thank you! I had seen that site, but didn't read close enough that Hillcrest was also known as Mahon Cemetery. That is consistent with what is on the death certificate.

We made our vacation trip to Nova Scotia two years ago. We found a lot of my relatives in the local cemeteries. I wish I had known where he was at the time. But, it's a good excuse for another trip to a beautiful area!

Thanks again for your help!

Hi there, we have family that live on Westchester Rd., Londonderry and we have walked thru a very large cemetary very close to Westchester Rd., Londonderry. My husband is going there this weekend and he will confirm the name of the cemetary and will let you.

Part of my confusion is that I see "Mahon Cemetery" as being in Great Village. I've been reading as much as I can find about the area. Is Great Village also Londonderry?
