Hello Everyone,
We are currently researching our family history and Michael Noy is a relation of ours.
Michael way born on the 6th of May 1818. He was working as a chimney sweep in London at age 14 before stealing a donkey and being found guilty and sentenced 14 years transportation. He was then transported to Australia on the ship the "Fairlie". He married Elizabeth Margaret Dodd and they had 6 children together while Michael was still serving his sentence. Michael died in 1847, 2 weeks before he got his ticket of leave to become a free man.
We are currently trying to find out what Michael died of, as he was only 29 at the time. If anyone knows or could be any help to us, that would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Brian
