I've started an ambitious attempt to find and link all the Illinois Pitchfords to a single family tree. If you would like to participate I'll attempt to make the tree happen.
This is obviously going to be a long-term project, but well worth it.
This started with the Macoupin County Pitchfords a couple of months ago. I was contacted to find a lady's grandfather and how she fit into the Illinois line. It was determined that she is part of the Samuel Pitchford b ca 1700 line. Her grandfather was George Allen Pitchford b 1890 who married Lynda Ragland. They are in the 1920 and 1930 Nilwood Census. Their children by that time were Wesley, Loyd, Earl, Glenis, and Lola.
Let's see where this goes, shall we? I would love to hear from the Macoupin Pitchford descendants!
By the way my wife descends from John Pitchford who married Margaret Rhodes in Shropshire, England in the early 1700's. The US Samuel line has not been linked to my wife's line...yet!
