Here's what I know:
My family comes from Alexander (Alaxsander) Ely Maugel – (Aug. 23, 1841-Jan.14, 1891) who was married to Laura Velerie La Cost(e) in Ohio.
The only record of his birth is from the 1850 Census in Bedford County where a Jacob Maugle listed at age 35, had a son Alexander MAUGLE, age 9, which coincides with his birthday of 1841.
It is presumed that Jacob Maugle came from Bedford County PA. to Chesterfield Twp. Fulton County, Ohio in 1858. They sold their farm in East Providence Twp., Bedford County, PA. Jacob married MARY ANN (maiden name unknown) who presumably died 28 JUN 1876 of TYPHOID FEVER.
JACOB MAUGLE was also in the 47 Ohio Infantry during the Civil War listed from 1861-1865 which would be in line with them moving to Ohio around the late-1850's.
Looking for JACOB MAUGLE (b. 1815) records, either immigration or family, birth records, wife's maiden name, any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

==============================================
NOT to be confused with JACOB MAUGLE (b.1793) who's parents were Adam & Elizabeth from Bucks County, who married Margaret and lived in Liberty, Bedford Co. They are presumed ancestors of Christopher Maugle (Maghele, Magel) that immigrated in 1740 on the "Robert & Alice"
There are a couple family trees out there that seem to imply that Henry (b.1788) & Susanna of Bucks Co. (also of the Christopher Maugle line) were JACOB MAUGLE's (b.1815) parents, but everything I've seen shows that Henry & Susanna(h) Maugle didn't have any children.
