My line of Copelands came from Northern Ireland not sure of time, however I have a flax wheel they brought with them. Later family moved to TN from North Carolina in early 1800s. They settled at the head of Green River in Wayne County, TN. at the head of Green River. They were close to the Natchez Trace.
Interestingly most of the family fought for the Union during War Between the States. I have a pretty good family tree put together originally by my Grandmother Annabelle Edwards Copeland. Will gladly share with anyone interested. I am looking to fill in some of the blanks. Have many apocraphyl stories of many of my kin in the family tree.
