Searching for family of my great-grandfather, Michael Dalton, born in County Kilkenny, Ireland, in 1848. He emigrated to Goderich, Huron County, when still a small child with his parents. One of the parents died and the other remarried, with more children born. The family probably moved to Osgoode in Carleton County, and Michael ended up in Chicago. He married Mary Ellen Kennedy and they raised seven children in Chicago. He was a worker in the steel mills and died young in 1902.
