I have finally finished transcribing the pages I have of the 1860 Slave Schedule of Bertie County. I am sending it to Virginia so that she can put it online. If anyone would like me to send it to them as an e-mail attachment I will do so, just let me know. I will be working on the some things from the 1870 Census and about 8 pages of marriage bonds and certificates I have.

As always, I would like to remind everyone that I am working on my Pugh/Thompson line.

Also, if anyone can get let me know how I can get a copy of a Bertie newspaper for the week of January 27, 1927, please let me know. My gg grandfather burned to death in his home (just like george in Roots) and I think (even though he was black) it may have received a mention in the paper.
