I am seeking information on Samuel Zeeman who was born about 1885 in Russia and died in New York on Jan. 5, 1906. His wife's name was Sarah Yetta Schlesinger. She was born April 15, 1835 in Russia and died Oct. 30, 1920 in New York having re-married a man named Markowitz.
The possible other spellings of the original name may have been Zimon, Simon, Zeman, Zalman.
Samuel and Sarah had 13 children. I have identifed six who were all born in Russia:
Olga Zeeman, born 1865, married Jacob Radskin, and died Feb. 7, 1941 in New York City;
Abraham Hewitt Zeeman, born Jan. 23, 1867 and died July 21, 1947 in New York City;
Barnard (Barney) Zeeman, born July 17, 1868 and died Oct. 30, 1923 in New York;
Ester Zeeman, born 1881, never married, and died 1961 in New York City;
Harry C. Zeeman, born Dc. 15, 1874 and died Nov. 24, 1942 in New York City;
Benjamin Solomon Zeeman, born April 23, 1876 and died Oct. 1, 1966 in Miami, Florida.
I am borrowing a friend's email to post this query. Anyone who has information related to these people, please contact
