Seeking information about a Richard LEWIS, born ca 1825 in North Carolina who appears in the 1860 census in this county with a wife, Roxanna (maiden name unknown at this point) and a 9-year-old son, Ros Lewis. The latter's name apparently is Rosville (per the 1880 census). Roxanna was born ca 1826 in Alabama. They have only the one child in the 1860 census; have not found them in 1870, and in 1880, Roxanna is evidently widowed and living with her son, Rosville, 29, and his wife, Rossie (the family did like "R's") and their four-year-old son, Damby D. Lewis.

I have information on this LEWIS line in North Carolina, but would like to learn where they were in 1870 and when and where Richard Lewis died. Also when and where Richard and Roxanna were married. Happy to exchange info.
